SKP Engineers has been involved in many noteworthy projects since its inception back in 1986. Over the past 30 years we have provided design and technological expertise to key organisations in South Africa. Some of the more interesting projects we have worked on are briefly described below.

RENNIES BULK TERMINALS - DURBAN

Design & Project Management of 12 Grain Silos

Silos 12m diameter and 56m high, with all structural steel housings and conveyor gantries.

RICHARDS BAY COAL TERMINAL - PHASE 5 EXPANSION

Project Civil & Structural Design Engineers

Upgrading the export capacity from 72 Mtpa to 91 Mtpa. The scope included all bulk earthworks for the new stockyards and additional rail tracks, Tippler structure, conveyor foundations, concrete roads, stormwater drainage systems, dust suppression system, sub-stations and various other buildings.

DOUGLAS MIDDELBURG OPTIMISATION PROJECT - BHP BILLITON

Civil & structural designers to EPCM Contractor

Bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage systems, conveyor foundations, cut and cover tunnel and concrete settling ponds for the Linear and Circular Stockyards. Project extension covered the hydraulic design and supervision of the bulk water supply system for the mine.

RICHARDS BAY COAL TERMINAL - ESUP PROJECT

Civil designers for the collection and recycling of surface water runoff

Settling ponds, bulk water transfer system to new environment dams and industrial water recycle system.

DURBAN BULK TERMINAL - BULK CONNECTIONS
